A Walk To Remember is one of the most my favorite film and one of the most popular romantic movies. A Walk To Remember is a 2002 American coming-of-age romantic drama film directed film by Adam Shankman and was produced by Denise Di Novi and Hunt Lawry for Warner Bros Pictures. This film based on Nicholas Sparks' 1999 novel of the same name and the character of jamie was inspired by Nicholas Sparks sister. The character Jamie (Mandy Moore) was sweet, cheerful, wasn’t popular at school, had tremendously strong faith and was wanted in life was to get married, but she's got cancer. I love how Landon's character (Shane West) changes throughout the movie, he goes from being a underage drinking on the school grounds, seriously injure another student during a prank gone wrong, hardass to a gentleman thanks to Jamie.
I like all of the scenes but i'd have to say one or two of them that I like is the cafeteria scene where everyone there was laughing at her because someone photoshopped her or something. She goes to run but Landon moves to hold her, which makes me believe that he was there the whole time listening to everything. When everyone see's Landon while he's holding and comforting her, they go completely quite and its like everyone's thinking "oh shit" he tells her that its not her fault that it is his fault, he moves her behind him while he confronts the guy and punches him and leaves to take her out of the place. And I like scenes Landon is building a telescope for Jamie to be able to see a one-time comet in the springtime. Jamie's father helps him get it finished in time. The telescope is brought to her on the balcony. She gets a beautiful view of the comet through the new telescope. It is then that Landon asks her to marry him. Jamie tearfully accepts, and they get married in the church in which her deceased mother got married. Jamie and Landon spend their last summer together, filled with an even stronger love like no other. Jamie's leukemia ends up killing her when summer ends.
I bought the dvd and cherish this movie. These two were a perfect romantic pair and the message the movie sent, was a good one, of course one has to have a box of tissues to watch it ...she was way too young to die!
